Xiaomi has unveiled its latest 80W Mi wireless charging technology, a step up from the 30W introduced last year. The company said 80W Mi is capable of filling a 4,000 mAh battery to 10 percent in 1 minute, 50 percent in 8 minutes and 100 percent in 19 minutes. By comparison, the 30W Mi was capable of charging a similar battery to 50 percent in about 25 minutes and 100 percent in 69 minutes.
Xiaomi recently introduced 50W wireless charging on its Mi 10 Ultra smartphone. The company did not say when it expects to bring the 80W charging to the market.
