Windows 10 users worldwide are unable to connect to the Windows Update service for the past two days.
According to Bleeping Computer, when the affected users try to update their operating system, Windows displays the following error report:
We couldn’t connect to the update
service. We’ll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn’t work,
make sure you’re connected to the Internet.
The cause of this issue is still very unclear, as many users speculate that it’s either a problem with Windows Defender or their DNS configuration. However, this problem does not affect all Windows 10 users, but a number of users who were affected by this problem have stated that switching their DNS allowed them to download updates.
Windows
10 has been the least successful version as it has had a bug that caused users
to lose data. The update has been fixed but Windows 10 users have been hesitant
to update to this version of the operating system.
Microsoft assured that the problem has been fixed, but if one is still unable to download any Windows updates, switching to Google’s public DNS service may resolve the problem.
