TelOne wins overall best ICT company award at Zimbabwe’s 66th ZITF

TelOne has won the overall best ICT award testament to powerful initiatives set to transform ICTs in Zimbabwe, at this years ZITF in recognition of its programmes to expand digital infrastructure across the country.

The award was presented to TelOne’s CEO and Commercial Director by Botswana President Duma Boko at the official opening of the 66th edition of the regional fair on Thursday.

TelOne said the recognition reflected the company’s focus on accelerating digital access for Zimbabweans.

The ZITF, held annually in Bulawayo, is southern Africa’s largest trade exhibition and draws exhibitors and governments from across the region. This year’s edition ran under the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries” which is inline with ICT and digital transformation positioned as a central focus.

TelOne is Zimbabwe’s national fixed-line telecommunications provider and operator of the country’s fibre backbone infrastructure.

TelOne’s exhibits included AI powered Network Infrastructure, TelOne Wireless Services, Robust Enterprise Solutions, A.I. driven Client Experience, Smart Health, Smart Home and the national project Smart Traffic Management Solution. The stand included engaging VR and immersive gaming consoles that allowed visitors to enjoy and experience the power of TelOne network.

TelOne described the launch as a milestone that “activates the future,” highlighting the potential of the hub to drive innovation and empower the next generation of tech leaders in Zimbabwe.

The company has been innovative withe launch of the Innovation Hub which is designed to foster learning, creativity, and technological development, providing a platform for students, professionals, and innovators to explore new ideas and develop skills aligned with the country’s growing digital economy.
