All Roads Lead to the 2025 TechnoMag ICT Forum: “Reflect, Reprogram, and Re-align”

TechnoMag is preparing for the upcoming 2nd edition of the Tech Convergence Fora (TCF), scheduled for November 7, 2025, at The Venue. Themed “Reflect, Reprogram, and Re-align,” this year’s forum aims to build on the success of its inaugural event in 2024. The gathering will bring together government officials, industry leaders, academics, and tech entrepreneurs to address challenges and opportunities in Zimbabwe’s digital landscape. ICT Minister Hon. Tatenda Mavetera will inaugurate the event and discuss sustainable growth strategies with sector stakeholders.

According to TechnoMag Founder Mr. Toneo Toneo, the forum’s objective is to assess progress since the previous year and facilitate open dialogue beneficial to the broader ICT community. The 2025 TCF will concentrate on crucial areas like cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence, digital financial services, and digital infrastructure, emphasizing the collaborative, innovative, and policy-driven approach highlighted in 2024.

Panel discussions will cover various topics, including Parliamentarians on ICT Policy, Tax, and Regulation, Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Legal Frameworks, Emerging Tech, AI & Virtual Reality, Starlink Distribution Opportunities, and Mobile Financial Services & Consumer Digital Rights. Notable participants include Potraz DG Dr. Gift Machengete, Econet DEP CEO Roy Chimanikire, Ecocash GM Gilbert Tsongorera, OneMoney GM Joseph Machiva, UNESCO’s Dr. Al-Amin Yusuph, Liquid CEO Loretta Songola, TelOne CTO, and other industry leaders. Additionally, diplomats from the US, France, Sweden, Russia, EU, and UN are expected to be in attendance.

TCF 2025 aims to translate discussions into actionable steps, advancing recommendations from the previous year such as enhanced cybersecurity measures, investment in digital skills, and interoperable payment systems. As Zimbabwe progresses with its digital transformation, TechnoMag’s Tech Convergence Fora remains a vital platform for aligning vision, policy, and innovation within the country’s tech sector.
