NETONE LEADERSHIP EXCELS AT THE ZIMCEOS NETWORK AWARDS

NetOne Cellular has emerged from the ZimCEOs Network Awards with four top executive honours, led by Group Chief Executive Officer Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, who was crowned Overall C-Suite Executive of the Year — Super Platinum Winner, the highest accolade presented at the ceremony.

The Super Platinum designation recognises exceptional leadership, strategic vision, innovation, and transformative impact on the wider economy. Under Mushanawani’s stewardship, NetOne has accelerated digital transformation, extended network coverage to underserved communities, and advanced financial inclusion through mobile money services positioning the state-owned operator as a central pillar in Zimbabwe’s digital economy.

“This is not only a personal achievement but a reflection of NetOne’s continued growth, innovation, and influence within the telecoms sector.”

Non-Executive Board Member Professor Engineer Talon Garikayi received the Outstanding C-Suite Academic/Tertiary Award, in recognition of his pioneering contributions to engineering, applied research, and the development of homegrown technology solutions. His recognition reinforces the depth of expertise shaping NetOne’s governance and long-term strategy.

Mr Simbarashe Manhando, Head of Human Resources, was presented with the Outstanding Head of Human Resources Platinum Award for his role in building a high-performance culture and driving people-centred transformation across the organisation.

Chief Financial Officer Mrs Nyasha Nyambuya claimed the Outstanding Chief Financial Officer Super Platinum Award, recognising her financial stewardship and strategic leadership in advancing NetOne’s growth objectives and long-term sustainability.

Collectively, the four awards affirm NetOne’s standing as one of Zimbabwe’s most consequential institutions — not merely as a connectivity provider, but as an organisation shaping the country’s digital and economic future.
