The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has intensified its national digital inclusion drive by conducting a Basic ICT Skills Training Workshop for persons with disabilities in the Binga community.
The initiative reinforces POTRAZ’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that no one — especially those in rural and marginalised areas — is left behind on the digital highway.
The workshop, facilitated in partnership with @ISOCZIM, equipped participants with essential digital literacy skills that empower them to confidently navigate technology, access online services, and unlock new opportunities for education, communication, and personal development.
This programme is part of POTRAZ’s broader strategy to promote universal access and meaningful digital participation for all Zimbabweans, regardless of physical ability or geographic location.
To date, 598 individuals across the country have successfully completed Basic ICT Skills Training, while 69 participants have graduated from the Advanced ICT Skills programme. These numbers reflect the regulator’s steady progress toward creating an inclusive digital society.
POTRAZ says it remains steadfast in its mission to uplift persons with disabilities by providing the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.
Each training session is not just a class — it is a step toward a future where technology becomes a bridge to opportunity rather than a barrier to access.
