In a move aimed at making internet access more affordable and inclusive for all Zimbabweans, state-owned telecommunications company TelOne has announced the launch of new US$ Bonus Broadband Bundles. The new packages are designed to provide an enhanced client experience across its various platforms, including Fibre, Blaze LTE, and ADSL.
The launch comes at a critical time, as demand for fast and reliable internet continues to grow, with more people relying on connectivity for their day-to-day activities.
“TelOne recognizes this shift and is responding with customized packages that cater for Blaze LTE, Fibre, and ADSL users, making high-speed internet more affordable than ever,” said TelOne’s Acting Commercial Director, Maureen Chirambaguhwa.
A key highlight of the new offerings is the significant value added to the ADSL broadband packages. Acknowledging the limitations of older infrastructure, TelOne has revamped its ADSL plans to be more competitive.
“Whilst we acknowledge and recognise the availability of Legacy DSL infrastructure that is constrained in terms of speed with a maximum attainable download speed of 5Mbps, the Unlimited price plan of US$30 is set to be a game changer with an option for a $15 capped package now coming with 75GB Data, voice minutes, YouTube and Netflix,” Chirambaguhwa explained.
The new packages are tailored to meet diverse customer needs and include bundled voice minutes as well as data allocations for popular streaming services, YouTube and Netflix. According to the promotional material, the Home 75 ADSL bundle, priced at $15, will now offer 75GB of data, 40 on-net minutes, 10 off-net minutes, and a combined 30GB for YouTube and Netflix. The Home Unlimited ADSL package at $30 provides unlimited data, 200 on-net minutes, and 40 off-net minutes.
The company also emphasized that customers on its superior platforms will continue to enjoy excellent performance. Chirambaguhwa noted that the new approach “will ensure that Fibre customers benefit from the superior download speeds that Fibre technology offers,” while Blaze LTE users will experience excellent download speeds and the benefit of limited mobility.
The new Fibre Broadband packages start at $40 for the Speed 50 unlimited plan and go up to $90 for the Speed 100 plan, which offers speeds of up to 100Mbps. The Blaze LTE bundles range from $20 for 75GB to $75 for an unlimited package.
Ultimately, TelOne views this initiative as part of its larger mission to foster a more connected Zimbabwe.
“TelOne is committed to enhancing connectivity across Zimbabwe. The new US$ Bonus Broadband Bundles not only provide immediate benefits to customers but also contribute to the broader vision of a connected and inclusive nation,” Chirambaguhwa concluded.
