Samuelle Dimairho, Co-Founder and CEO of Aura Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership and its potential to bridge the digital divide in Zimbabwe. “Starlink’s global coverage, particularly in remote and underserved areas, is a game-changer,” he stated. “Through its network of over 6,000 satellites, we can now offer reliable and high-speed internet to communities that have long been isolated.”
Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr. Tatenda Mavetera, echoed Dimairho’s sentiments, emphasizing the government’s commitment to expanding internet access and bridging the digital divide. “The introduction of low-earth-orbit satellite technology such as Starlink represents a transformative opportunity for Zimbabwe’s underserved and marginalized communities,” said Dr. Mavetera. “In areas previously hindered by inadequate connectivity, we are witnessing the first launch of a properly licensed reseller partnership in satellite technology for Zimbabwe.”
