OpenAI Brings Voice Conversations to All ChatGPT Users

OpenAI has announced that it is rolling out voice conversations to all free users of its ChatGPT mobile app. The feature, which was previously only available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers, allows users to interact with the chatbot using voice commands and receive responses in audio format.

“ChatGPT Voice rolled out for all free users. Give it a try — totally changes the ChatGPT experience,” said OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman in an announcement post.

To access the voice conversation feature, users simply need to tap the headphone icon in the bottom left corner of the chat interface. The first time you use the feature, you will be able to choose from one of five personas, each with its own unique voice and personality.

Once you have selected a persona, the app will immediately connect to the voice conversation interface, and you can start chatting with the chatbot. The chatbot will respond to your questions and prompts in the voice of your chosen persona, making the conversation feel more natural and engaging.

The addition of voice conversations is a significant step forward for ChatGPT, as it makes the chatbot even more versatile and user-friendly.
