Telone Announces Price Increase

State owned fixed telecom, Telone, has tripled it’s prices for data, as broadband prices continue to soar.

The price for blaze uncapped data increases from $2100 to $6200/month. This comes a few days after it’s rival, ZOL sharply increased its data prices which resulted in an outcry from users.

The steep rise in prices doesn’t seem to be matched by mandatory service as internet connectivity and speeds are very low and unreliable. The suffering for Zimbabwean broadband users continues with no answer in sight.
