Strive Masiyiwa The Most Influential Person On Facebook

Econet Wireless founder and chairman Strive Masiyiwa has been ranked among the most influential person in the world on Facebook by crowdtangle.

Facebook is now the sixth most valuable public company in the world, with a market value of around $629.6  billion. Facebook claims nearly 2.6 billion monthly users for its social network. Around 1 billion people, nearly a third of all those on the planet with access to the internet, log on every day.

CrowdTangle ranks Masiyiwa as the most influential and some of the top influencers includes Mark Zuckerberg who is number 2, Richard Branson who is number 6 and Bill Gates who is listed as number 7.

CrowdTangle was originally designed as a tool to help activists organize their Facebook activity into a single place. But there was no money in that business model, so co-founders Brandon Silverman and Matt Garmur took a feature that showed which posts on their pages were getting the most engagement and turned it into a product. The tool that helps publishers identify great stories, measure social performance, and identify influencers. It’s used by newspapers, television stations, digital media outlets, investigative journalists, entertainment companies, sports teams and nonprofits all over the world.
