Website Hosting Scams: Stay Away From WebNames !!!

Outright scams by website hosting companies are rare, but they do exist and should be watched out for. Cheap hosting providers offer their services for $3-6 per month in Ecocash. If they are trying to increase the prices, they simply cannot afford to compete with other providers. They mostly come in the format of a shared server. Newcomers to web mastering and blogging are always searching for cheaper opportunities, but usually, they do not know where to start. We understand that it is not an easy task to get to know everything by yourself.

On particular cheap service provider is Webnames, which is owned by a guy called Munyaradzi Mtake. The Provider has been in the business for a number of years now and but since last year the services have been pathetic to say the least.

He used to take 3 days, 2 hours, and 33 minutes on average to respond to complaints and on their servers, but these days he is not responsive at all.

His site is still up taking new registration but the service will never be provided even if you pay.

According to some clients who host with him, Webnames has not been paying the reseller hosting free to clubhosting, so the service provider has suspended all the services.

It is possible to find a good and cheap web hosting provider. Just remember to pay attention to some hidden charges and check what features are included in the service, before you start. Do not pay attention to the price only, as it is not the most important criteria. You will find out later that you were just wasting time and your website could be running more smoothly if you did some research before starting.

PS: Webnames.co.zw is not to be confused with Webnames.ca, a Canadian hosting company.
