The Horrors Of Online Shopping… Sometimes You Get What You Pay For

If you needed evidence that internet shopping still has room to grow, you just got it. Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has confirmed that its annual Singles’ Day sales event racked up the equivalent of more than $25.3 billion in sales, easily setting a record for the most online purchases in one day. For context, Alibaba sold just short of $18 billion last year this year, the company surpassed that figure slightly past the halfway mark.

Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser. Online shopping saves us time but it comes with a lot of risks.

Online shopping is great but it comes with some negatives. Online shopping fails are so ridiculous, you cannot help but laugh. Low prices sometimes get in the way of our judgment and we end up falling for online shopping scams.

Taking to social media, the shoppers showed off their nightmare knock-offs in all their glory with many being totally unrecognizable from the goods advertised on e-commerce sites online.

From disastrous dresses to bonkers boots, these knock-offs prove why online shoppers should always be extra careful when it comes to bagging a bargain.

Many customers have been seduced by beautiful dresses online and the shocking part is that clothes are entirely different beasts. Even when you get the right size, the pattern might be totally different from what you anticipated to get.

When you get the flowers they might be totally different from how they looked on the website. With online shopping, it’s not easy to tell what you are going to receive.

Online shoppers do not have the ability to physically inspect or try on the items being considered for purchase.

Online shopping compels customers to buy a product without seeing actually how it looks like. Customers may buy some products that are not really required by them. The electronic images of a product are sometimes misleading. The color, appearance in real may not match with the electronic images.
