Yes with WhatsApp it is possible to delete or Recall WhatsApp message on Android or iPhone. WhatsApp last week rolled out the most required after feature – “Delete for everyone.” As the name suggests, the feature permits users to revoke messages in case they sent those to a wrong person or a group. You can now recall text message, video, photo from WhatsApp. You can recall WhatsApp message from your Mobile Phone easily.
With the new feature, you can only delete messages for everyone for up to seven minutes after sending.
In order for messages to be successfully deleted for everyone, both you and your recipient must be using the latest version of WhatsApp for Android, iPhone or Windows Phone,” the micro-blogging platform said.
So if you want to delete a message immediately after sending it, tapping on the delete button will show a new option “delete for everyone”. This will remove a message not just from your device but also from the device of the person who has received it.
“Deleting messages for everyone allows you to delete specific messages you have sent to either a group or an individual chat. This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or if the message you sent contains a mistake,” WhatsApp noted.
One issue with this feature is that messages are delivered in real-time if there is connectivity on the phone. This means that even if you recall a message or revoke one after 5 minutes of sending it, it is possible that the person to whom you sent the message may have already read it. Although if the read receipts is enabled for the chat, you will be able to know whether the message was read or not.
Android users can now apply filters on their photos. While the option to annotate a photo and add text was already available, the new feature provides users the option to jazz up their photos a bit more. To use this feature, open the camera in WhatsApp and take a picture or open a saved image from the camera roll and swipe up from the lower edge of the screen. As of now only five filters—cool, black & white, pop, chrome and film—are available to users. The feature was already available on iOS.
