We’ve all been there, sending a message we thought was funny, flirty or friendly only to read it back and only to wish we had not sent that text. Many of us have at least one message we wish we had never sent.
WhatsApp is Following in the footsteps of rivals messenger apps like Telegram, WeChat, and Viber, and it’s now closer to rolling out its ‘Delete for everyone’ feature. The feature just appeared temporarily in the latest WhatsApp beta release, and it is thought to only work on messages that have not yet been read.
According to @WABetainfo, Users will only have five minutes from when the message is sent to delete it, and only messages that haven’t been opened by the recipient can be removed.
This feature would be amazing for anyone likely to sending “drunken messages.”
It claimed that unsend capability will be integrated into the software soon but no one knows which version of the software.
The roll out of the update with the new feature to Android and iOS users will be released globally, reports suggest.
Delete for Everyone will reportedly work on all types of WhatsApp messages, including texts, images, videos, GIFs, documents, and Status reply.
