The phone is still widely acclaimed and it gained a cult status due to its durability, one of Nokia’s most iconic devices.
The iconic Nokia 3310 handset has made a comeback and will be selling for $52.Last year, a Finnish start-up called HMD Global, made up of ex-Nokia execs, bought the intellectual property required to make phones from Nokia. HMD Global also bought rights for branding and technology.

Those specs are still fairly basic by our modern phone standards, but that’s the beauty of such a basic feature phone. Unlike the brick size of the old 3310, the modern variant is a little smaller, thinner, and lighter all round. It’s also a lot more colourful this time around, with glossy yellow and red colours, and matte grey and dark blue models.
The ex-Nokia execs have revamped the classic 3310 but have kept the merits that made the original 3310 handset so popular that is robustness and battery life.
Like its predecessor, the new Nokia 3310 runs on Nokia’s Series 30+ software, with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, and even a microSD slot.
The 2017 version has 22 hours of talk time, and 1 month standby battery time. But no one cares about all of that. The best part is it has a new Snake game Snake and it has the original Nokia ringtone! Once a great hit among Nokia phone users. The game can be accessed on Facebook Messenger under the games tab.
Specs be damned, what else do you need? After all we all love the Nokia 3310, don’t we?
